Kid Rock Says Donald Trump Asked Him For Advice On North Korea

Kid Rock talks about his interactions with Donald Trump in a recent interview.

In a recent interview, Kid Rock noted how former president Donald Trump asked for his advice on North Korea.

Kid Rock and Trump have had multiple exchanges since the singer first visited the White House in 2017. The visit led to a viral image of the singer in the Oval Office with Trump, Sarah Palin and Ted Nugent.

And now, in an interview with Tucker Carlson on Fox News, Kid Rock suggested that the former US President asked for his advice on North Korea.

He said in the interview, which aired on 21 March: "We’re looking at maps and sh*t, and I’m like, ‘Am I supposed to be in on this sh*t?"

The singer then noted: “I make dirty records sometimes. ‘What do you think we should do about North Korea?’ I’m like, ‘What? I don’t think I’m qualified to answer this.'”

The singer also noted how he often plays golf with Trump and was 'there one day when he ended the Caliphate' - a reference the fall of the Islamic state Caliphate.

He recalled how Trump 'wanted to put out a tweet' following the fall, with him noting that "The tweet was, and I’m paraphrasing, it was like if you ever join the caliphate and you try to do this, you’re going to be dead".

According to the singer, Trump then asked: "What do you think of this?" to which he replied: "Awesome. Tweet that out. I can’t add anything better than that".

"Then it comes out and it’s reworded and more politically correct," Kid Rock added of the tweet.

While the idea of Trump asking Kid Rock about foreign policy seems absurd, it isn't the first time the former President has made headlines for his unconventional foreign policy suggestions.

On the same day Kid Rock's interview aired, Trump himself broached the topic of foreign policy during an interview on Fox Business.

Trump spoke of his how during his time in office, he heard Vladimir Putin 'constantly' use 'the nuclear word' and that he though US submarines should be sent to the Russian coast to put pressure on him.

"You should say, 'Look, you mention that word one more time, we're going to send them over and we'll be coasting back and forth, up and down your coast", Trump said.

The comments came as today marks the 27th day of war in Ukraine.
