After the Los Angeles Rams won the Super Bowl yesterday, February 13, one player decided to make his night even better by proposing to his girlfriend in dramatic fashion.
The LA Rams beat the Cincinnati Bengals at California's SoFi stadium, storming to a 13-3 lead before being overhauled to 13-20, then mounting a comeback to win it 23-20 in order to clinch their second Super Bowl win, their last coming in 2000 when they were called the St. Louis Rams and beat the Tennessee Titans 23-16.
However, as is often the case with the Super Bowl, many watching the event found the most exciting views outside the game.
For once we're not talking about the famous halftime show, although audiences were treated to a spectacular performance from Dr Dre, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent, Mary J Blige and Snoop Dogg along with a selection of high profile trailers and adverts.
No, this time we mean the moment when LA Rams player Taylor Rapp decided to seize the moment following his Super Bowl victory and propose to girlfriend Dani Johnson.
With more than 70,000 people watching in the stadium and millions tuning in at home it would have been quite embarrassing if she'd said no, but luckily for Rapp when he popped the question to Johnson she said yes.
Sky News reports that the player decided to spring the surprise on his girlfriend while wearing a Super Bowl championship T-shirt and cap and surrounded by his teammates, who cheered when Johnson accepted his proposal.

Trapp wasn't the only LA Rams player to have a monumentally life changing experience right after winning the Super Bowl, as Rams wide receiver Van Jefferson's wife went into labour during the game, meaning he skipped basking in the glory of his victory in the post-match celebrations so he could rush to the hospital.
He later posted a picture of himself and his new baby on Instagram, confirming to all that his family had welcomed a healthy and happy new member.
However big a memory winning the Super Bowl might be, for these two it will have been eclipsed by far more important events in their lives.
