Elon Musk's Trans Daughter Files Paperwork To Legally Change Her Full Name

She said she does not 'wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form'.

One of Elon Musk's children wants absolutely nothing to do with her tech billionaire dad and has chosen to change both her first and last name.

According to legal documents filed in a Los Angeles court and cited by TMZ and The Blast, Xavier Musk has applied for a name change.

The transgender teen turned 18 years old in April and is now wants to be legally known as Vivian Jenna Wilson.

The name Wilson comes from her mother, Canadian author Justine Wilson, who was married to Musk from 2000 to 2008.

In the court documents, TMZ reports that Vivian also wants to be recognised as female.

But her name change isn't only about her transitioning. The documents hinted at a major rift with her dad.

According to the court filings, Vivian has listed the reason for her name change as: "Gender Identity and the fact that I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form."

Neither the SpaceX founder or his child have publicly spoken about their relationship, rift, or Vivian's transition.

However, back in December 2020, the Tesla founder tweeted about his support for the trans community.

"I absolutely support trans, but all these pronouns are an aesthetic nightmare," he wrote.

This followed a tweet from July 2020, that simply read: "Pronouns suck."

Musk's daughter's decision to change her name comes shortly after the tech mogul was named as the most likely person to become the world's first trillionaire, according to Approve.

"The world’s richest person, Elon Musk, has an estimated net worth of $263 billion (AU $377 billion, £215 billion), as of January 19 2021, according to Forbes," Approve's report reads.

"Since 2017, Musk’s fortune has shown an annual average increase of 129 percent, which could potentially see him enter the trillion dollar club in just two short years, achieving a net worth of $1.38 trillion (AU $1.98 billion, £1.13 trillion) by 2024 at age 52."

That being said, Musk lost more money this year than most people will make in their lives.

So this race to the trillion dollar mark is certainly one to watch.

Vivian's hearing on the name change is set for Friday June 24.
