Liam Gallagher Says What He Really Thinks About Coldplay
Liam Gallagher is not one to hold his tongue but has done somewhat of a u-turn on his thoughts about Coldplay after their collaboration at One Love Manchester.
In the past, Liam has criticised Coldplay saying the ‘whole band look shit’ and called them a ‘bunch of students’ over their views of free trade.
Coldplay joined Liam on stage at the benefit concert at Old Trafford Cricket Ground on Sunday where they sang Oasis’ ‘Live Forever’.
In classic Liam Gallagher fashion, here’s what he told NME back in 2006:
Chris Martin looks like a geography teacher. What’s all that with writing messages about Free Trade? If he wants to write things down I’ll give him a pen and a pad of paper. Bunch of students.
And another gem came from the Oasis frontman last year:
I’m sure he does put on a good gig, Chris Martin, the amount of money he gets paid. He looks like he’s in The Tweenies though. The whole band look beyond shit. Have they not seen any photos of The Rolling Stones? Probably not.
But, after their collab at One Love Manchester, he appeared on a Dutch radio station and has seemingly changed his tune. Saying:
They’ve never sounded so good have they, Coldplay? I was like, ‘Fucking hell, you sound good man. I take back everything I’ve ever said about you. You sound fucking really good.
Asked if he’s worried about being linked to the band following their Manchester duet, he replied:
I don’t mind. Listen, man. They’re all right man. Chris is cool.
Change of tune RKid.
