Mafia 3 is fast approaching, and 2K Games has released yet another trailer, this time highlighting all the ways in which protagonist Lincoln Clay can ‘own the battlefield’.
At the risk of spoiling things for you, it all involves violence, and quite a lot of guns.
Rather than a straight up gameplay trailer, 2K has tried to keep things fresh by interspersing the footage with the game’s director Haden Blackman, as he explains that Clay ain’t your average mobster.
As someone who served in Vietnam, he can utilise the special training he had there to gain an edge over rival mobsters in the game’s world of 1968 New Bordeaux.
The video also explains that Clay is more nimble than a regular mobster, using his speedy movements in combat, for stealth, and to beat any of his foes in a dance off.
Part of that wasn’t true – can you guess which part? Watch the trailer below while you work it out.
In addition to sneaking and dancing through battle, Clay can also use pistols, machine guns, shotguns, and a butt-load of explosives.
Even in situations when Clay finds himself without a firearm, he shows us that he’s pretty darn handy with a knife, and could just as quickly ruin your day (and face) with his bare fists.
Mafia 3 comes to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 7. Maybe then the trailers will finally stop, but I can’t be sure.
