A YouTuber who raps about robbery has been arrested for allegedly robbing an ATM technician.
Ladesion Riley, from Houston, is also known as Jugg God online, and promotes his songs like 'Make It Home,' in which he raps about 'specialising in burglarising'.
However, after being arrested for robbery along with three others – Darius Dugas, Sashondre Dugas, Christopher Alton – it doesn't look like the rapper will be making it home any time soon.
Nashville police arrested the YouTuber and three others on Monday, 6 June.
Sharing the news to Twitter, the Nashville Police Department said: "BREAKING: Four persons from TX are in custody for the 10:40 a.m. robbery of a man servicing a Bank of America ATM on Thompson Ln. The suspects were apprehended just after checking out of a Dickson, TN motel. Investigation continues by MNPD, @FBIMemphis, @THPNashville & Dickson PD."
Houston police then shared the story to Twitter, saying 'Riley jinxed the whole gang', in reference to his 'Make It Home' track.
President of the Houston Police Officers' Union Douglas Griffith spoke to Fox News about the incident: "If you’re going to rap about it, then turn around and be about it and get caught, that’s on you.
"You shouldn’t do stupid crap, and you definitely shouldn’t violate the law and talk about it."
According to police records, two of the people arrested are out on felony bonds and have prior arrests.
"Convicted felons doing their music videos with guns. How dumb is that? That right there is enough for them to get charged again," Griffith noted, going on to add that he thought the rapper wanted the 'glorify' his criminal behaviour.
"That saddens me because we have all of these kids watching this, and they’re glorifying it, and these kids look up to them. It’s dumb. These guys are dumb. They deserve to be tossed into jail just for being dumb."
Since Riley's arrest people have flocked to YouTube to stream his track, with one user writing: "I came across this cause you got caught “Juggin” lmao s*** hard tho."
Another said: "I’m here because of grizzy news …. I’m mind blown how good this song is tho."
While a third wrote: "Damm !!!!! bro sing that s*** soo hard and didn’t make home …."
Others weren't convinced by the track, however, adding: "Man you’re making Houston look like the rap from here is trash. Hope you catch your breath and stop rapping like a nervous weekender who knows he has to face some real time."
