The publicity around the man who attacked Dave Chapelle has aided in him being charged with attempted murder.
On Tuesday, 3 May, Isaiah Lee ran on stage at the Netflix Is A Joke: The Festival at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
The 23-year-old 'charged' at the comedian and knocked him to the floor before being taken away by security.

Police have since revealed Lee is facing a count of attempted murder.
Lee is accused of stabbing his roommate during an altercation in a transitional housing unit.

The LA County DA's Office claim the incident occurred on 2 December, 2021.
Due to the media focus on Lee after his suspected attack on Chapelle, his alleged stabbing victim recognised him and identified Lee as his attacker.
In a statement given on Thursday, 19 May, District Attorney George Gascón said: "The publicity generated by the attack on Mr. Chappelle helped police solve this crime.
"The incident that occurred at the Hollywood Bowl was misdemeanor conduct and rightfully referred to the City Attorney's Office. Based on the nature and severity of the December attack, Mr. Lee is now facing felony charges which my office will prosecute."
When Lee attacked Chapelle on stage, journalist Sharon Carpenter took to Twitter to detail the incident.

She described how a man 'ran on-stage and lunged at him knocking him to the floor'.
"Security & his entourage then cornered the man as Dave joked about how him getting 'stomped' backstage," she said.
Brianna Sacks shared a video which appeared to show Los Angeles Police Department and Los Angeles Fire Department 'loading [Lee] into an ambulance' after he sustained an injury from having 'his ass kicked by at least 10 people' after taking to the stage.
Lee was reportedly armed with a replica gun that had a blade inside it when at the Hollywood Bowl, according to Los Angeles police.

They confirmed they responded to an incident at around 10:45pm.
The weapon was taken into custody.
Lee faces four misdemeanour charges for his alleged attack of Chapelle.

The charges include: battery, possession of a weapon with intent to assault, unauthorised access to the stage and commission of an act that delays the event or interferes with the performer.
The LA County DA's office decided to not file any felony charges against Lee.
It stated: "After reviewing the evidence, prosecutors determined that while criminal conduct occurred, the evidence as presented did not constitute felony conduct."
However, Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer filed the four charges after the case was handed over.
Lee has pleaded not guilty to the charge of attempted murder in relation to the alleged stabbing in 2021.
He is next set to appear in court on 2 June.
