MP Allegedly Put Their Drug Dealer On The Parliamentary Payroll

A former MP allegedly put their drug dealer on the parliamentary payroll, according to a new report.
Concerns have been raised about an alleged ‘drug culture’ throughout Westminster, with evidence of cocaine use believed to be found in 11 out of 12 tested locations across the parliamentary estate, including in the toilets closest to Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Home Secretary Priti Patel.
The timing of today’s report clashes with the PM’s recent discussion of his plans to tackle drug use across the UK. ‘Drugs are driving a lot of misery and we can fix it. They’re not going to make you happier. They’re not going to make you more successful. They’re not going to make you cooler. They’re bad news,’ he said.
As reported by The Times, a former MP who hasn’t been named has been accused of ‘putting his drug dealer on the parliamentary payroll, claiming that the man was a member of his staff as a way of paying him for the drugs’. This same MP also dealt drugs himself, the report alleges.
One anonymous source also claimed, ‘I have seen an MP openly snorting cocaine at a party. There were journalists present and I warned them that what they were doing was extremely dangerous and they could be exposed but they seemed to get off on the power trip.’
Patel said there’s ‘no place in our society for drugs and certainly not in our parliament… those who have the privilege to work at the heart of our democracy who are involved in drug use or distribution are utterly divorced from the heartless pain and suffering of the drug trade they are fuelling’.
