Netflix Dropped The Trailer For Steven Spielberg’s New Documentary, And It Looks Incredible

It looks like World War II history buffs are in for a real treat as the official trailer for Netflix’ new three-part documentary lands.

Five Came Back, tells the extraordinary story of how Hollywood affected World War II and vice versa.

Adapted from Mark Harris’ best-selling book, Five Came Back: A Story of Hollywood and the Second World War, the documentary focus on the experiences of five successful filmmakers – John Ford, William Wyler, John Huston, Frank Capra, and George Stevens – who chose to risk their lives in the service of their country.

The story is put together by five giants of modern cinema Steven Spielberg, Francis Ford Coppola, Guillermo Del Toro, Paul Greengrass and Lawrence Kasdan, so there’s no doubting its credentials.

In conjunction with the launch, Netflix will also present 13 other  documentaries discussed in the series, including Ford’sThe Battle of Midway, Wyler’s The Memphis Belle: A Story of a Flying Fortress, Huston’s Report from the Aleutians, and Capra’s The Battle of Russia
