Thanks to Facebook’s recent ‘On This Day’ feature, you can often wake up in the morning to forgotten memories – some good, some bad.
The feature serves as a reminder to, well, what exactly happened on this day up to three years ago. But not every memory is a happy one.
Quite often, those ‘moments’ can stick a post right in front of your grill that doesn’t exactly wake you up raring to go. From an ex-partner to a deceased loved one, it can sometimes be a pretty unpleasant experience.
Well, Facebook has noted this, and have tackled it head on by providing us with the option of removing certain people from appearing.
Here’s how it works
– Sign in to Facebook, and head to Facebook.com/onthisday
– Click the “Preferences” button in the top right-hand corner of the banner.
– Click “Edit” next to either the People or Dates option on the Filters box.
– Add in any people or dates you don’t want to be reminded of.
This change is just one of many that Facebook have recently made. The biggest being the introduction of the new Reactions, which – when rolled out worldwide – will serve as an alternative to the Like button.
Basically, it will allow miserable people to express how they really feel about a Facebook post, rather than just ignoring it and moving on.
Jack of nothing. Master of f**k all.
