Ubisoft has released an extensive new gameplay video for Watch Dogs 2, showing off a ton of cool mechanics for the San Fransico based hacking sequel.
The footage shows a lot of the game’s protagonist – Marcus – walking around hacking pretty much everything he can, but there’s a good bit of time devoted to showing off the promising open world co-op, too.
See, the majority of online co-op in Watch Dogs 2 is all about helping each other out. Ubisoft previously claimed that you can beat the whole game with a pal over the internet, if you want.
But this new footage introduces a delicious new twist: When you commit a crime in-game, much like in GTA, the authorities will give chase.
What’s really cool about these ‘Bounty’ scenarios is that up to three other human players in the same session can join in on the chase to take you down and earn rewards.
Of course, if the player who’s being hunted manages to escape in one piece, they can earn some rewards of their own – check it out below.
And of course, some of the gameplay footage is dedicated to showing us how players can work together to get through the game more efficiently.
That’s all well and good… but if the likes of Dark Souls has taught me anything, it’s that given the chance, we will always screw over our fellow players – I can’t wait.
Watch Dogs 2 comes to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 15, and Ubisoft believe it could be one of the best games to ever come from the company.
Well, it certainly can’t be any worse than the first Watch Dogs.
