Incredible video footage shows the moment a police interrogator managed to get a confession out of a murderer using a clever tactic.

Nick Nehring was sent to prison for life for the murder of Joseph Ross back in 2015, shooting him dead outside of a corner store in Pensacola, Florida.

Over the course of a two-day trial and jury deliberation, the court was shown video of his interrogation and confession, which came after the interrogator told how video cameras were installed at the store.
He didn’t mention that they hadn’t captured the murder itself, but that was enough for the criminal to start talking.
In the video, broadcast on A&E’s Interrogation Raw, the whole scene was played out alongside interviews from those involved.
Nehring had argued that the whole thing came from a drug deal gone wrong, later admitting that he’d planned to murder him from the outset because of his history, claiming he had no regrets about what he did.

The interrogator started by establishing that he knew that Nehring was present at the scene, telling him that he’d been captured on video camera.
“Did you see me in my vehicle?” Nehring asked.
“You’re kinda distinct,” the police officer responded.

Nehring was clearly rattled, asking whether the video surveillance was around the whole store.
This is where a small piece of trickery elicited a full confession from the guilty man.
Speaking on the show, he said: “At that point, I did not have video of the shooting, but he’s nodding because now he believes it.
“With him, I felt comfortable throwing out the bluff in such a way, because I didn’t think he was going to call me on it, and I thought that he would accept it.”

Back in the room, he asked Nehring: “Why did you do what you did?”
Incredibly, Nehring confessed to everything.
“You want the truth?
“That motherf***er is a b****, OK?

“He f***ing deserved it.
“He reaches for s*** [presumably a gun], nothing.
“I shot the motherf***er, saw his face.
“He made an ‘ugh’ noise and I shot the b****, you don’t f*** with mine, that’s it.”
Pensacola Police Department Sergeant Amy Parsons then said: “We were speechless, he just didn’t care.
“It was pure evil.”
She continued: “From the very beginning of this investigation it was a whodunnit, and within hours we had the suspect in custody, we had a confession, we had him charged, and he was on his way to jail.”
He was sentenced to life in prison, with his confession showing the intent behind his murder, as well as the callousness of his crime.
As he said elsewhere in the confession: “I made sure his ass was dead ‘cause dead men tell no tales.”
Now, Nehring is in jail, and there’s very little chance that he’ll ever be released.
