Official Trailer For Netflix's Most Expensive Film Ever Has Been Released

The Gray Man trailer just dropped and it looks pretty incredible.

The trailer for Netflix's most expensive film ever just dropped and it looks pretty incredible.

Action thriller The Gray Man stars Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans.

While the Hollywood A-listers are enough to grab anyone's attention, it's the film's budget that's had people talking in recent weeks.

Reportedly, the film has a budget of $200 million (£158.2m), making it the streaming platform’s most expensive film to date

So, you know, just a small amount of money.

Still, the hefty budget did stop the film being delayed, as production faced a few setbacks during Covid.

However, the cast and crew pulled through to produce one of the most highly anticipated films of the year, with Joe and Anthony Russo directing.

You know the incredible directors behind Avengers: Endgame and Infinity War?

Yep, those guys.

And Joe seemed pretty excited about the film, telling Variety: "It's fantastic, it's electric. It's also been a long time since we've seen a movie like this.

“We have two big movie stars going against each other to the tradition of like De Niro and Pacino in Heat.

“This is an intense action film. Very, very entertaining performances from both actors, and they're absolutely pitted against each other in the movie. "

With Joe adding that the film marked an interesting turn in Evans' career: “And it's a deliciously sociopathic turn for Chris Evans as the villain. He does [make a good sociopath], it's quite entertaining. So I think it's gonna be a lot of fun.”

Alongside Evans and Gosling the cast includes Ana de Armas (of No Time To Die fame), Regé-Jean Page (Bridgerton), Wagner Moura (Narcos) and Billy Bob Thornton (Dallas Buyers Club).

If that wasn't enough to hype you up for the action film of the year, maybe the plot will.

Based on the book series of the same name by Mark Greaney, the film sees Gosling as a skilled CIA mercenary.

As the film's synopsis reveals: "When the CIA's most skilled operative - whose true identity is known to none - accidentally uncovers dark agency secrets, a psychopathic former colleague puts a bounty on his head, setting off a global manhunt by international assassins."

Sounds exciting right? Well you won't have to wait long either as it's set for release in cinemas on 15 July and will be available on Netflix from 22 July.

We're already counting down the days.
