Paris Attacks: Eagles Of Death Metal Concert Footage May Show Gunman In Venue

The girlfriend of Eagles of Death Metal frontman Jesse Hughes may have caught footage of one of the Paris gunmen prowling around the Bataclan concert hall shortly before he carried out the attacks.

The band were on stage when attackers stormed the sold-out gig and gunned down at least 80 people.

Hughes’ girlfriend – Tuesday Cross – had an access all areas pass and was walking around the venue, packed with 1,500 music fans, to broadcast the concert on Persicope.

In the footage, she remarks that her battery is running low then, while she’s walking to the back of the venue and up the stairs to the balcony to get a crowd’s-eye view of the band playing, a figure suddenly appears in front of her.

At roughly 17:25, YouTube commenters claim they can hear gunshots, and at around the 17:45 mark of the video, a man can be seen – he’s dressed all in black, with his hood up and appears to be wearing a backpack and carrying something in front of him in both hands.

The figure can be seen walking down the stairs which leads back to the main hall before the footage cuts off.

Shortly after the Paris Attacks, the U.S. rock band released a statement on Facebook, saying their thoughts went out to all the victims caught up in the horrific events.

We are still currently trying to determine the safety and whereabouts of all our band and crew. Our thoughts are with all of the people involved in this tragic situation.

Despite initial fears that the band may have been caught up in the attacks, a representative for the Eagles of Death Metal confirmed that there were no fatalities within the band.

EODM drummer Julian Dorio spoke to his brother, Michael, in the aftermath of the attack.

Speaking to WSBTV, Michael said:

He said they were playing, about six songs into the show, they heard, before they saw anything, they heard automatic machine gunfire. It was so loud, it was louder than the band, and they hit the stage floor. As they got up to try to evacuate they saw men with machine guns just shooting anything and everything in the venue.

They heard more than they could see because of the stage lights. I don’t know if it was seated or standing but Julian, the lead singer and some of the crew, there was a door back of the stage that led to a street and they flew out the back door.

Tuesday Cross captured the footage.

Harrowing footage has also shown the moment dozens of people were able to escape the attacks inside the venue.

The concert hall attack was the worst of six coordinated terrorist attacks across the French capital last night, which targeted thousands of people across the city during the International football friendly between France and Germany at the Stade De France.

The death toll is thought to be anything between 127 and 153, but the number continues to rise.
