Democrat candidate exposed for performing sex acts online won't withdraw or be 'silenced'

Democrat candidate Susanna Gibson was 'outed for performing sex acts' though she's refusing to 'be intimidated'

A Democrat candidate running for Virginia's House of Delegates has responded to the leaked videos of her performing sex acts.

Despite the leaks, Susanna Gibson is refusing to drop out of the political race, saying she won't be 'silenced'.

In videos seen by The Washington Post, Gibson can be seen performing sex acts with her husband online while encouraging others to pay the couple 'tips' to perform special requests.

Gibson allegedly told viewers that she and her husband have an open relationship and that she enjoys having sex, the Daily Mail reports.

The Democrat candidate reportedly said: "I've had three in a day actually. Don't tell my husband he was the third. I'm married and I think the person I'm married to is amazing.

"But I love sex. I always have I always will. I don't think that when you are in love with someone it means that you don't want to f**k other people.

"Like, love and sex are not mutually exclusive, right."

The Washington Post also reports that Gibson also urged viewers to provide her with 'tips' in the form of tokens on the website for specific requests.

“I need, like, more tokens before I let him do that,” she reportedly said in response to a viewer's request. "One token, no. More. Raising money for a good cause.”

The 40-year-old, who is currently a nurse practitioner, is running to become the representative of a suburban seat in a district just outside Richmond.

Following the leaked footage, Gibson has now responded with a statement issued on Monday (11 September).

In fact, she rejected all the calls for her to withdraw, saying the leaking of the videos were an illegal 'invasion of my privacy designed to humiliate me and my family'.

Gibson has since responded to the leaks.

In a statement provided to the Washington Post, Gibson said: "It won't intimidate me and it won't silence me."

"My political opponents and their Republican allies have proven they're willing to commit a sex crime to attack me and my family because there's no line they won't cross to silence women when they speak up." she continued.

She also called the leak 'the worst gutter politics', AP reports.

Her lawyer, Daniel P. Watkins, said that disseminating the videos violates the state's revenge porn law to 'maliciously' spread nude or sexual images with the 'intent to coerce, harass, or intimidate'.

“We are working closely with state and federal law enforcement.” he added.

Her campaign rival, Republican David Owen, also spoke about the incident, telling the outlet: "Me and my team found out about this story today like everyone else.

"I’m sure this is a difficult time for Susanna and her family, and I’m remaining focused on my campaign.”
