Kamala Harris says she's committed to her responsibilities as Vice President of the United States.
During an interview an interview with the Associated Press, the VP was asked about a 'hypothetical' situation where she would need to take over the presidency.
Joe Biden is 80 at the moment and the oldest US President in history.

If he becomes the Democratic nominee for the 2024 election and wins, he'll be 86 when he finishes his second term.
There is intense speculation about what Harris would do in the event that she needs to take control of the White House if anything happened to Biden.
Associated Press reporter Chris Megerian posed this question to the VP: “Questions about the president’s age often go hand-in-hand with questions about how you would step in the role if necessary.

"Do you feel prepared for that possibility? Has serving as vice president prepared you for that job?”
Thankfully, in her eyes, that won't happen.
"Joe Biden is going to be fine, so that is not going to come to fruition," she told AP in Indonesia.
"But let us also understand that every vice president — every vice president — understands that when they take the oath they must be very clear about the responsibility they may have to take over the job of being president."

While she might be standing behind her boss, it seems as those the American public isn't as convinced.
AP/NORC put out a poll recently that showed three quarters of people surveyed don't think Biden should be able to serve a second term as President.
Just shy of 70 per cent of Democrats believe the same.

But during her interview Harris said everyone has it wrong about Biden.
"I see him every day. A substantial amount of time we spend together is in the Oval Office, where I see how his ability to understand issues and weave through complex issues in a way that no one else can to make smart and important decisions on behalf of the American people have played out," she said.
Biden has already announced his plans to run for US President next year and it could be another showdown against Donald Trump if he gets nominated to run for the Republican party.
It seems as though support for the two keep changing so it will be interesting to see the parties decide on their front runner.
