Tan Mom is officially throwing her hat in the ring to run for Florida Senator.

Yes, you read that correctly.

TMZ confirmed that reality TV star Patricia Krentcil filed paperwork with the Federal Elections Commission earlier this week to officially run for the US Senate in 2024.

She will be going up against Republican Senator Rick Scott in the election, so she will have her work cut out for her.

According to the outlet, as the controversial mother has forged a close bond with the LGBTQIA+ community, she hopes to bring important queer issues to the Senate floor.

She also hopes to bring back diversity to classrooms and other issues in Florida as she campaigns across the state.

The reality TV star has named her producers of her makeover show, Tan to 10, Gregg Maliff and Adam Barta, as her campaign managers.

Someone’s hoping this series will get renewed for another season.

The 56-year-old cultivated a name for herself by appearing in adult films and bringing her then-five-year-old daughter Anna into a New Jersey tanning bed in 2012.

The New Jersey native, who is a frequent guest appearance on Howard Stern, said that she has recently completely changed her outlook on life, revealing to Business Insider she no longer tans anymore.

**Audible gasps**

She told the outlet that she has tried to shed the persona that has made her famous for the last decade.

She added that she is a ‘totally different’ following the death of her husband Richard, who passed in 2020 after he was diagnosed with colon cancer, Covid-19, and pneumonia.

"I'm a totally different person today — I changed my whole attitude on life. I've turned my life around," she said.

"I don't get disrespected anymore. I don't party or do any crazy things."

Her main priority now is being a good mom to her children, Anna, now 16, and her youngest son, Addison, 13.

"I'm here for a reason, and I have to make sure I'm here for my kids,” she said.

"I always told them to stand tall in your life. I try to follow my own advice,” Krentcil added.

She added she is no longer ‘dark’ anymore, which she is thankful for as it was ‘exhausting to keep it up’.

Well, this is certainly a rebrand for the ages.
