Putin Has Already Decided When The War Will End, According To Ukraine Ministry Of Defence

It's being said that the Russian federation 'does not refuse to continue its war against Ukraine'

Russia already has a date in mind for when the war in Ukraine will end, according to reports.

Ukraine's Ministry of Defence website claims 'the military-political leadership of the Russian federation does not refuse to continue its war against Ukraine' despite 'significant losses and demoralised personnel'.

They wrote: "The enemy continues to destroy the infrastructure of peaceful towns and villages of Ukraine, grossly violating the rules of warfare and neglecting to comply with the requirements of international humanitarian law."

The statement adds: "According to the available information, among the personnel of the armed forces of the Russian federation, propaganda work is constantly being carried out, which imposes the idea that the war must be completed before the 9th of May 2022."

The date is significant as it marks the annual victory day parade in Moscow's Red Square, which celebrates the end of the Second World War and Nazi Germany's surrender, MailOnline reports. However, it is unclear exactly what 'completed' means to Russia's President Vladimir Putin.

The Ministry of Defence statement added: "The vast majority of the Russian federation's medical institutions in settlements located near the territory of Ukraine, are occupied by wounded servicemen of the Russian federation, who took part in the war against Ukraine and encountered units of the defence forces in combat.

"As a matter of urgency, the enemy is taking measures to renew the combat capability of the air units of the airborne troops, which had suffered critical losses both in manpower and military equipment."

Yesterday, 25 March, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke at a meeting with the European Council, where he gave a heartfelt update on Russia's invasion.

He said: "It all started on February 24. From Russia. When the missiles flew. Early in the morning. Against our peaceful cities.

"People have still been sleeping. Death has already come. Russia sent armored vehicles against us. Brought several thousand tanks to Ukraine.

"It’s hard to count how many of them have already been burned. How many can still kill us. Bombs fell on our people."

He pleaded: "And you hesitate whether to impose sanctions or not? And you hesitate whether to let weapons through or not? And you hesitate whether to trade with Russia or not?

"There is no time to hesitate. It's time to decide already. We believe in you. We need your support. We believe in your people.

"We believe in the European Union. And we believe that Germany will also be with us at the crucial moment."
