Razer has unveiled an insane 17 inch three-screen gaming laptop to an unsuspecting public, like some kind of cackling evil genius.
Going by the code name Project Valerie, this absurd (but also really fucking cool) beast looks set to take gaming to an entirely new level.
Compared to normal laptops, Valerie has a pretty thick form factor when closed, at around 1.5-inches.
When opened, a set of hinges deploy to reveal three monitors, each sized at 17.3-inches, and each sporting up to 4K resolution. It’s like some kind of gloriously mad pop-book for the digital age.
When all three screens are deployed, gamers can enjoy a resolution of 11,520 x 2160, powered by a desktop-grade Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card. Yep, it’s absolutely bananas.
Razer co-founder and CEO Min-Liang Tan claims that ‘the complexities of a traditional multi-monitor setup are a thing of the past’ – it certainly looks that way.
There’s no word yet on pricing, availability or even key specs… but it has three screens. You can bet your lunch money this one ain’t gonna be cheap.
