Hot on the heels of her latest dominant UFC win on Saturday night, Ronda Rousey has announced that she is set to star in a movie based on her autobiography.

As reported by Variety, Paramount Pictures has secured the rights to the UFC champion’s best selling autobiography ‘My Fight/Your Fight’.

And Rousey, who has already starred in several movies including Furious 7 and The Expendables 3, is set to play herself in the project.

Mark Bomback (Die Hard 4.0, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, The Wolverine) is reportedly on board to adapt the book, while Mary Parent (Pacific Rim, Godzilla) is producing along with Rousey.

Parent said:

It’s a real honor to be a part of bringing Ronda’s incredible story to the big screen.

‘My Fight/Your Fight’ was penned by Rousey with her sister Maria Burns Ortiz and tells the inspirational story of UFC champ and Olympic medallist Rousey, who faced extraordinary challenges and heartbreak on her path to sporting dominance.

No date has yet been set on when the project will go into production, as Bomback has only just begun adapting the book. Rousey is expected to fight in the UFC one more time before the end of the year before she takes some time off from the Octagon to film ‘Mile 22’ in January.

Ronda Rousey’s career just continues to go from strength to strength at the moment and we really can’t wait to see her incredible life story on the big screen!
