Police Bodycam Footage Shows Rust Armourer Saying She 'Just F***ed' Career Moments After Shooting

Speaking to cops shortly after cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was shot, Gutierrez-Reed says: “I just f****d up my whole entire career"

On Monday (25 April), Santa Fe county sheriff’s office released footage of law enforcement’s response to a shooting on the set of Alec Baldwin’s western film, Rust.

Captured on the scene back in October, interviews with key witnesses including Baldwin himself, first assistant director David Halls and armourer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed have now been made available to the public.

Speaking to cops shortly after a prop gun Baldwin was holding discharged - killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injuring director Joel Souza - Gutierrez-Reed can be heard telling an officer: “I just f****d up my whole entire career.”

Watch the footage below:

Bodycam footage captured on the New Mexico set shows Gutierrez-Reed sitting in the back of a police car before being escorted to a toilet by a female officer.

Dressed in a plaid shirt and khaki trousers, the footage begins with Gutierrez-Reed answering a different officer’s questions.

Gutierrez-Reed - who was in charge of weapons and ammunition on the set - first confirmed her place of work before responding to a question about her job title.

When asked by a cop: “What’s your place of employment?” she responded, “Here”. The officer then asked: “What’s your job?” to which Gutierrez-Reed replied, “I’m the armourer, or at least I was.”

Shortly afterwards, a female cop approaches the car Gutierrez-Reed is sitting in, saying: “Hi, you need to use the restroom?” Gutierrez-Reed confirms that she does, and the pair start walking across the film’s set towards the toilets.

Gutierrez-Reed can be heard saying: “Welcome to the worst day of my life”, before adding: “I can’t believe Alec Baldwin was holding the gun, that’s so f****d.”

Once in the bathroom, Gutierrez-Reed states: “I just want to get the f**k out of here and never show my face in this industry again.

“I'm the only female armourer in the game and I just f****d up my whole entire career." She later refers to herself as a "f*****g failure."

All police files associated with the ongoing investigation were released yesterday, 25 April.

Footage of Baldwin speaking to investigators in an interview room after the accident has also been widely viewed, and the clip reveals his first words to police in the aftermath of the shooting.

Appearing on bodycam footage, Baldwin told cops he felt ‘no recoil’ after the gun went off, adding: "When I shot the gun, away from the cameraman, I never aim the gun at the camera, I turned and I went like this [Baldwin makes a gun with his fingers].

“And she was there. And the gun went off. And she just went right on the ground."

The shooting resulted in the death of Halyna Hutchins.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing, with Baldwin earlier insisting he wasn't responsible. "Someone is responsible for what happened and I can’t say who that is,’ he said in an interview following the incident. "But I know it’s not me."

The star is also facing a number of lawsuits, including from script supervisor Mamie Mitchell and head of lighting Serge Svetnoy, as well as Hutchins’ family.
