Sha’Carri Richardson Tells Haters To 'Kiss My A*s'

US sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson has told her haters to kiss her a** in a post on social media.

The 22-year-old runner made her feelings towards her critics crystal clear on Instagram after failing to qualify for the world championships next month. 

Richardson clocked a time of 22.47 seconds at the 200-meter semifinals on Sunday in Eugene, Oregon - putting her in fifth place and meaning she didn’t qualify for Team USA at the 2022 World Athletics Championship.

However, she was keen to let her fans know that the setback and her critics aren’t bringing her down. 

Uploading to her Instagram Stories she said: "I normally don't be making video to post on here 'cause I really don't got nothing to explain to y'all.

"But, to my supporters, I wanna thank y'all. It's been a long road. Ain't over yet. To my haters, I got another video for y'all."

In the next clip Richardson was lying on her back with her legs spread telling her detractors: “I would kiss my a** but y’all can’t afford it.” She also stuck both middle fingers up towards the camera. 

Richardson has previously asked the media to show her ‘respect’. 

Speaking to the press on Sunday, she said: "What I have to say, y'all can all take this interview and do whatever you want to do with it. I'm coming to speak, not on just on my behalf, but on all athletes' behalf, that when you guys do interviews, y'all should respect athletes more. Y'all should understand them, coming from whether they're winning, whether they're losing, whatever the case may be, athletes deserve way more respect than when y'all just come and throw cameras into their faces.

​​"Understand how an athlete operates and then ask your questions. Then be more understanding of the fact that they are still human, no matter just to the fact that y'all are just trying to get something to put out in an article to make a dollar. Thank you."

Richardson’s failure to qualify comes after an otherwise successful month for the athlete - she came first place in the NYC Grand Prix 200m on 12 June, with a time of 22.38 and second in the 100m 10.85, finishing just 0.02 seconds behind first place sprinter Alecia Hobbs.
