Shocking Moment Customer Confronts Starbucks Worker Who Admits To Credit Card Theft

What would you do if you bumped into someone who’d committed identity theft against you and spent hundreds of dollars of your money?

Chances are you’d be pretty pissed off, although we’re not sure if we’d go as far as this woman did when she came across the Starbucks cashier who’d allegedly nicked her credit card details and spent $200 (£135) of her cash at a local grocery store.

Elizabeth Becerra, of Victorville, California, and her brother were waiting in the drive-thru at their local Starbucks when she accused the cashier of taking her credit card details on New Year’s Day.

After Becerra notes that she’s going to “get even”, she films the 19-year-old worker and gives her a right old earful about taking the numbers off her card and using them to go shopping.

In the video, Becerra said:

So we got you on camera yesterday at Ralph’s for $212, so just know that the cops are coming up here. They recorded your ass and everything. You took a copy of my fucking card the other day on New Year’s Day. You know what you did.

After the cashier apologises, Becerra demands to know what she’s sorry about.

The cashier responds:

I’m sorry that I took money from you and your kids. I’m sorry that you had to come up here. I’m sorry that this is inconvenient for you. I am a good child. I swear I am really good. I really do go to school. I’m 19. I play soccer.

The cashier then desperately asks Becerra not to press charges and even offers to give her the money back. However, by the end of the video, the girl is back to denying that she ever took the woman’s cash.

According to the Mail Online, Berecca’s brother later added on Facebook:

My sister went to Starbucks one day and noticed the cashier taking longer than normal with her card. A few days later a couple hundred dollar transaction was taken out of her account. She didn’t want to accuse anyone until she knew for sure.

She noticed the cashier right away since she goes there regularly. She had to make a stop there and embarrass her life before reporting it to the police. I almost feel bad for the girl but she robbed the wrong person. Keep an eye out folks, even if it’s at your friendly neighborhood Starbucks.
