Shop Worker Uses Sweets To Fight Off Armed Robbers

It looks like an armed robber bit off way more than he could chew when attendants pelted him with sweets during an attempted hold-up.

The would-be robber was trying to enter a service station in Aberdare, New South Wales, while brandishing a metal bar, reports The Maitland Mercury.

But, unwilling to give in easily, the service station attendant managed to fight off the attacker by throwing small bags of confectionery at him.

CCTV cameras captured the whole incident including the intruder fleeing to a black Hyundai – which was later found burnt out – where a driver and another passenger were waiting for him.

An employee described the armed attacker, saying he was wearing a balaclava, black jumper, track pants with two stripes down the side and black socks.

A passenger was spotted in the back of the getaway car wearing a black balaclava, grey jumper with black and teal sleeves, grey gloves and pink socks.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident, with Detective Inspector Mitch Dubojski advising businesses to remain vigilant while urging people to contact police if they notice any suspicious activity.

Fair play to the guy for scaring him off, he definitely deserves a raise!
