Skyrim Grandma Begs For New Elder Scrolls Game To Be Released Before She Dies

The Skyrim fanatic has asked Bethesda director Todd Howard to 'hurry up' and release the game before she dies

Skryrim Grandma is calling on Bethesda to release The Elder Scrolls 6 so she can play the game before she dies.

85-year-old YouTuber Shirley Curry is best known to devoted Skyrim fans as Skyrim Grandma.

Curry has been playing Skyrim on YouTube since the game's first release in 2011, and frequently shares her gameplays with more than a million dedicated subscribers.

In fact, Curry has become such an icon in Skyrim community that she is set to appear as an NPC in The Elder Scrolls 6.

However, the beloved Skyrim Grandma appears to be getting impatient waiting for the next game to be released, as she has said Bethesda need to finish creating the game before she dies.

During a recent Q&A with fans at PAX East, Curry was asked what she'd say to Bethesda director Todd Howard.

Curry did not hold back as she replied: "I'd ask him to hurry up and finish The Elder Scrolls 6. I want to play it before I die."

Her response was met with cheers from the audience who undoubtedly were also eager for the release of the game.

The Skyrim Grandma also revealed she'd love for The Elder Scrolls 6 to include more creepy quests, as she's 'not good at finding scary games on her own'.

Unfortunately, a release date is yet to be confirmed for the next instalment of the popular game. However, the long-awaited game will be Bethesda's main focus after the release of Starfield next year. But fans could be waiting at least three years, as Bethesda director Howard recently confirmed the game is still in pre-production.

This is unfortunate for Curry as her chances of playing the game seem to be growing increasingly uncertain. The popular YouTuber sadly suffered a stroke a few months prior to her appearance at PAX East, which caused her to completely forget how to play the game.

Thankfully, she appears to be recovering quickly, which is good news for fans of their favourite Skyrim YouTuber.

The adored Skyrim Grandma has been posting gameplays on YouTube since 2015, and has quickly become a prominent figure across the Skyrim community.

Bethesda has also acknowledged Curry's significance in possibly the best way they could – by announcing they will include her as a character in The Elder Scrolls 6. The decision comes in response to a petition started by fans in 2019. The petition received 49,189 signatures in support of the Skyrim Grandma being immortalised as an NPC.
