People are flooding to social media in adoration of a stepfather's reaction to his daughter's baby taking his last name.
If you haven't managed to get in a good old crying sesh recently and have some stored up emotions which are itching for release, then fear not, because rather than waiting to stub your toe or drop a mug, this video will get you in all the feels.
A mum recorded the moment she told her stepdad - who raised her since was a baby - she was giving her newborn his last name. Prepare to reach for the tissues:
The video - uploaded to Reddit by a user who goes by Right_Leg_7483 - shows a tiny newborn wrapped up in a pink onesie, nestled snuggly and sleepily into a carseat.

The caption reads: "Your stepdad who raised you since you were a baby finds out you gave your baby girl his last name."
The clip then pans to the user's stepdad, who's standing next to his granddaughter, gazing at her adoringly.
"Guess what her last name is," the mum says.
The new mum then reveals the baby's surname is her stepdad's last name.

Her stepdad gasps, his eyebrows raising in shock before he then repeats the last name aloud in disbelief.
His face then crumples and he starts bouncing up and down, overwhelmed with emotion, tears forming in his eyes.
The new mum exclaims: "Dad!"
Combined with the music from Up, the video is almost too much to handle for a Wednesday. But hey, don't blame us, we warned you it was a tear-jerker.

A third chimed in with a similar story, explaining they married their wife when her son was nine years old.

"We started dating when he was two. His real father wasn’t in the picture but paid every month. I told my son I would adopt him now that we are married and he said, 'Would my real father still pay?' I said, 'No I would assume all rights'. He said, 'No, I want him to have to remember every month that he has a son.'
