There’s a brilliant new story trailer for South Park: The Fractured But Whole, shedding further light on some of the bizarre adventures we’ll be embarking upon.
The new trailer is called ‘The Coon Conspiracy’ – which I think is a clever(ish) reference to current Spider-Man comic storyline ‘The Clone Conspiracy’ – and reintroduces us to Cartman’s superhero persona The Coon, as well as his merry band of heroes.
Check it out below.
As with the first South Park RPG The Stick of Truth, Fractured But Whole sees the entire town involved in another elaborate role playing game, this time with superheroes instead of fantasy characters.
The Coon is joined by such icons as Human Kite (Kyle), Mysterion (Kenny), and Toolshed (Stand), while you once again play as The New Kid, a personal avatar that has ‘farts that stop time, or something.’
Cartman and his team will square off against Butters, AKA Professor Chaos, who plans to become the greatest villain of all time… with trained hamsters and stuff.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole has been pushed back to early 2017, but it should be worth the wait, especially since it comes with a free copy of The Stick Of Truth.
If you’re getting sick of endless superhero films, perhaps Fractured But Whole offers exactly the kind of parody you need.
