Star Wars: The Old Republic New Trailer Is Better Than Some Of The Films

A trailer has dropped for the latest expansion to Star Wars: The Old Republic, and in six minutes it does more for the franchise than the prequels did in three films.

I’m not usually that guy, since bashing on the prequels is like shooting dead fish in a particularly tiny barrel, but this trailer is that good.

Seriously, you should watch it. Now. I don’t care if you’re at work, or waiting for your wife to have your first child – make some time and check it out below.

The video acts as a wonderfully elaborate set-up for Knights of the Eternal Throne, the new expansion due for release on December 2 for the MMO set in a galaxy far, far away.

We’re introduced to bad guy Emperor Valkorion, as well as Empress Vaylin. The theme of the trailer’s all about how the Force can corrupt.

Such a theme was also the intention for Phantom Menace through to Revenge of the Sith, but all I really got from those films is that an over-reliance on CGI corrupts.

Last dig, I swear.

Knights of the Eternal Throne will be free for subscribers to enjoy  – Meanwhile, you can check the base game out for free now and see how you get on.
