Everyone’s favourite champ-against-the-odds Sylvester Stallone has been dropping some serious hints about Creed 2.

The legendary actor shared a photograph of what appears to the finished handwritten script and eagle eyed fans will be able to pick out words such as ‘and friends are on their feet’ and ‘inconsolable’. Intriguing…

Tantalizingly, Sylvester used the hashtag #drago, appearing to confirm the return of Rocky’s arch rival Ivan Drago, played by Dolph Lundgren.

This isn’t the first hint that Sly has dropped. Only a few weeks ago he shared a post depicting a mock up of Drago in his heyday, taking on Creed while Rocky looks on from outside the ring.

Of course, the character of Drago will now be much older than the image shown in the mock up, and it’s unlikely he will still be in fighting shape.

However, Sly’s mention of ‘sins of the father’ is extremely telling. Perhaps Creed will be fighting Drago’s son, renewing and repeating the old bitter rivalry between Rocky and Drago…

Creating a spinoff from one of the most beloved film franchises of all time was a huge risk, but Creed has proved itself worthy in it’s own right.

Film and boxing buffs alike have enjoyed seeing the older Rocky as a mentor, passing on his hard-won wisdom to a new generation of boxers.

Details are still scarce, and we are going to have wait to find out the release date. However, if you want to keep updated on the latest developments, it seems that Sylvester’s Instagram is the place to be…
