Taylor Swift Is Being Sued By A DJ Who Was Fired After Allegedly Groping Her
Taylor Swift is being sued by a former DJ, who claims he lost his job after being wrongly accused of groping her.
David Mueller got fired from hosting the show ‘Ryno and Jackson’ with Denver station KYGO after the incident in June 2013, and launched the lawsuit on Thursday.
He named not only Swift, but also her parents, a member of her staff, and Scott Borchetta, the founder of Big Machine Records, as the defendants.
He claimed that after meeting Swift with his girlfriend and being pulled in for a photo with the popstar, she hugged him and left – only for the DJ to later be accused of grabbing her butt.
Mueller claims that he later ran into another member of staff, who had grabbed the popstar and told him that he put his ‘hands on Swift’s bottom’.
The DJ then states he and girlfriend Shannon Melcher were approached by a member of Swift’s staff, known in the lawsuit as ‘Craig’, and verbally abused, along with being accused of touching Swift – something he denies.
The contention that Mr. Mueller lifted up Ms. Swift’s skirt and grabbed her bottom, while standing with his girlfriend, in front of Ms. Swift’s photographer and Ms. Swift’s highly trained security personnel, during a company sponsored, VIP, backstage meet-and-greet, is nonsense, particularly given that Ms. Swift’s skirt is in place and is not being lifted by Mr. Mueller’s hand in the photograph.
However, a spokesperson for Swift has hit back and claimed that the radio station made their decision independently after looking at all the evidence against Mueller, following the alleged incident.
The radio station was given evidence immediately after the incident. They made their independent decision.
