Footage Shows ‘Backyard Fight Club’ Where People Settle Street Beef Without Guns

Mankind has yet to evolve beyond the primal instinct to fight, perhaps we never will, but these guys have a great way to prevent things going too far.

In a bid to prevent members of their neighbourhood turning to gun violence, or killing people in the street, Chris Wilmore, AKA Scarface, and Streetbeefs fights urge them to settle arguments with their fists.

The idea is that once a fight has been held, and a victor named, the beef is dropped.

Streetbeefs give the following description of the organisation on their YouTube channel:

After years of watching people in our area severely hurt each other over various disputes, we decided to offer a solution. Come to SATAN’S BACKYARD and put gloves on to settle your dispute.

No guns, no knives, no gang of friends jumping in. Just you, your foe, the referee, and a group of spectators.

We’ve settled hundreds of disputes in our area with this method, and hope to settle THOUSANDS more, all while entertaining our viewers.

Some of our fighters are just 2 guys who wanna fight for sport, or to test themselves. So occasionally you’ll see sporting fights mixed in with our beef fights.

Streetbeefs fighters form a bond with each other, and develop lasting friendships, and we take pride in providing a safer outlet for aggressive young men and women.

Wilmore, who has said his scars are the results of a tragic house fire which killed his brother, and a stabbing at the age of 17, has a very simple message for people that say his fighters should look to channel their aggression through MMA.

OK there is still a risk of bloodshed, and organised fighting should probably have medically trained experts present, but at least these guys are trying to stop needless street killing.
