Televangelist Pat Robertson has died at age 93.
The Christian preacher was known for being the longtime host of the Christian Broadcasting Network's 700 Club.
He was also the head of the religious television network, which announced his death to the world via a statement.

They claimed he stood for 'a worldview that believes in the inerrancy of the Bible'.
"Pat Robertson, longtime TV host, religious broadcaster, educator, humanitarian, and one-time presidential candidate, died at his home in Virginia Beach early Thursday morning. He was 93," the company said.
"Today, his influence and legacy crisscross interests and industries that have broken barriers for countless Christian leaders and laypeople."
The media statement did not reveal a cause of death.

Robertson pushed for an America that lived by 'conservative' and 'traditional' religious values and an America ruled by the Bible.
He was also, somewhat unsurprisingly, opposed to the principle of separation of church and state in the United States as he claimed God should be at the forefront of America.
The religious zealot saw the world as being driven by a never-ending war between Islam and Christianity and spearheaded US support in Israel.
He believed they were of the 'chosen' land and Muslims were the 'enemy'.

On US shores, he pushed for traditional families and told people to take the Old Testament Book of Ezekiel literally.
He warned the prophecies foretold in the Bible are literal truth and a reckoning was coming to make room for a Christian paradise.
In 2013, the fanatical priest claimed that gay people have special rings designed to cut people when they shake hands in order to pass on HIV to unsuspecting victims.
The following year Robertson expressed disappointment that gay people are no longer stoned to death, The Atlantic reports.

He made the claims after the religious network aired a story on an American baker who had refused to make a a wedding cake for a homosexual couple.
"I think you got to remember from the Bible, if you look carefully at the Bible what would have happened in Jesus’s time if two men decided they wanted to cohabit together, they would have been stoned to death,” Robertson said.
"So, Jesus would not have baked them a wedding cake nor would he have made them a bed to sleep in because they wouldn’t have been there. But we don’t have that in this country here so that’s the way it is."
He then went on to add people who have abortions were sent by the devil and hurricanes were God's punishment.

Days after September 11, he addressed the tragedy on air with guest pastor Jerry Falwell.
According to Rolling Stone, Falwell said: "I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People for the American Way, all of them who have tried to secularize America, I point the finger in their face and say, 'You helped this happen'."
Robertson said: "I totally concur."
He then claimed the 'agenda' had been adopted at the 'highest levels of our government'.
