Texas Women Forced To Take Out ‘Rape Insurance’
Hey, here’s some terrible news to ruin your weekend! Texas has introduced a law forcing women to pay a premium for health insurance to cover abortions.
Not bad enough for you? The new implementation is being called ‘rape insurance’.
Introduced by Governor Greg Abbott, the House Bill 214, means women will have to pay additional fees if they think they need an abortion over the next year.
While the law makes exceptions for ‘medical emergencies’ it doesn’t do the same for pregnancies that are the result of rape or incest, or foetal abnormalities.
Critics have slammed the bill saying it effectively means women will have to take out this fucking God-forsaken ‘rape insurance’ as its impossible to predict if they will be raped within the next year.
Republican Chris Turner said:
Women don’t plan to be raped. Parents don’t plan for their children to be victims of incest.
Asking a woman or a parent to foresee something like that and buy supplemental insurance to cover that horrific possibility is not only ridiculous, it is cruel.
Governor Abbot however praised the bill, saying:
As a firm believer in Texas values I am proud to sign legislation that ensures no Texan is ever required to pay for a procedure that ends the life of an unborn child.
I am grateful to the Texas Legislature for getting this bill to my desk, and working to protect innocent life this special session.
It’s a cell not a child you dickbag.
