‘There’s only one war that matters, and it is here.’ The trailer for the season seven finale of Game Of Thrones has been released – and it looks absolutely incredible.

This season has already been a rollercoaster of emotions so far, and now it’s finally – and sadly – coming to a climax.

HBO’s trailer reveals Cersei, Jaime and Tyrion Lannister finally come face-to-face, and we see Greyworm leading the Unsullied into battle.

See it for yourself here:

The trailer reveals footage from a critical summit which involves a few main characters, who come together to possibly call an armistice in the war for the Iron Throne.

When was the last time we got everybody in one place?

So that’ll be it for the series, but how long do we have to wait for the next season? We already know the final season, season eight, will only consist of six episodes – and there are already rumours the episodes may be longer in duration.

HBO programming president, Casey Bloys, has teased us with this:

Two hours per episode seems like it would be excessive, but it’s a great show, so who knows?

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime Lannister, just hinted that Game of Thrones‘s eighth and last season starts production in October.

In an interview with Collider, he revealed when he’ll see the Season 8 scripts:

I knew what was going to happen for the first three seasons. After that, it’s been a season at a time. You get the scripts a month before we start shooting, or six weeks, and then you know what’s going to happen that season.

But, I don’t know what’s going to happen next season. We go back in October, so maybe in the next few weeks, we’ll get the scripts and I’ll find out. I’m very curious.

HBO hasn’t actually confirmed an air date for season eight yet, but reports have suggested it could air as soon as next year, or if they want to torture us, it could come in 2019.

Can’t. Wait.
