I don’t think it’s too harsh to say that America is in a pretty dark place at the moment.
The government is in dire straits after countless shock revelations and even weirder resignations. The entire population is split by opinion – sometimes even violently. And Twitter has become the go-to place for presidential press conferences.
You’d expect that the bulk of American’s would rather steer away from the dark and dystopian – considering they’re living back in 1984 – but you’d be wrong, reports Deadline.
After three box office smashers, The Purge series is back with franchise creator, James DeMonaco, confirming that the fourth movie is in the works.
As of yet, the fourth chapter of The Purge remains without a title and the plot is unknown. What is known, however, is that DeMonaco will be writing the script but he wont be directing it like he has done in the past.
The latest film in the franchise, The Purge: Election Year, had a heavy focus on the upcoming 2022 presidential election. It’s rumoured that the fourth film with have political undertones also.
The Purge 4 is set to arrive on the big screen on July 4, 2018.
