TV presenter Anthony McPartlin will be reportedly cut off from the world during his time in rehab.
The star checked into a rehab facility after admitting to his wife, Lisa Armstrong, and co-star Declan Donnelly that he had drink and drug problems.
According to The Mirror the I’m a Celebrity and Britain’s Got Talent presenter was facing a crisis with alcohol and prescription drugs.
During his time recovering Ant will have a strict set of rules to follow regarding communication and visitation from the outside world.
A source told The Sun:
The most important thing is getting his health on track.
Right now Ant won’t be able to have access to his phone or any visitors, even from his wife or Dec.
He is expected to spend at least two months at the facility.
The star and his wife have reportedly been unable to conceive a child which has led to Ant suffering from anxiety and depression which furthered his substance abuse.
Speaking to The Sun Ant said:
I feel like I have let a lot of people down and for that I’m truly sorry.
I want to thank my wife, family and closest friends through this really difficult time.
I have spoken out because I think it is important that people ask for help if they are going through a rough time and get the proper treatment to help their recovery.
We wish him all the best with his recovery.
