A TikToker has revealed how the internet cleverly helped her get 'revenge' on an old boss who treated her unfairly.
TikTok star @its.marianne.faith has a whopping 3.3 million followers on the platform, but before she reached social media stardom, Marianne worked as a server at a Mexican restaurant in her hometown.
Now, she's revealed how her supporters defended her against her former bosses in a TikTok video with more than a million views.

An incident that ultimately led to Marianne quitting her job occurred when a group of customers stayed after the restaurant had closed to continue their conversation.
When Marianne and her co-workers tried to do closing tasks around the late-staying customers — including vacuuming — the party got increasingly annoyed and things escalated to the point that the police had to be called.
She said: “The manager comes from her post and is like ‘Alright, none of that. You’re being mean and acting like fools, you have to leave’. It escalated into this whole big thing. We had to call the cops.”
Despite staff's intentions to press charges against the group - who Marianne claims were aggressive by yelling at them, grabbing them and even 'threatening to brandish a knife' - it turned out that they were friends with the restaurant's owner.

The owner quickly took their friend's side and reprimanded the employees, telling them, "You can't do that. You can't press charges against them because they're our friends."
They even contacted a local newspaper to tell them that the whole thing had been a 'misunderstanding.'
Following this, Marianne was left feeling unsafe at work and ended up quitting her job.
A few years later, she shared the story with her massive TikTok following, who were disgusted by the way she'd treated and quickly got to work getting revenge on her behalf.
After tracking down the restaurant in question, they hounded its Facebook page, left negative reviews across Yelp, TripAdvisor and Google, and even called the restaurant to troll them.

Marianne reveals: “It was so persistent and for so long they had to unplug their phones for like a week and a half and then take down all of their review sites because all their ratings had gone down to one or two stars.
“So, five years later the restaurant’s still there… but it is kind of my own little story of revenge or karma or justice even because those bosses had the opportunity to do the right thing and really have the backs of the little people...
"But they all kind of told us to shove it."
