Plane passengers complain of 'chaos' after someone 'defecated on the floor' leaving everyone stranded

Passengers on board an easyJet flight have complained of 'chaos' after someone pooed on the floor.

Plane passengers have complained of 'chaos' onboard a budget UK airline after someone had defecated on the bathroom floor before it was due to take-off.

Passengers onboard the easyJet flight from Tenerife to London Gatwick received the rather annoying news that their flight had been cancelled, with the pilot telling them to 'organize hotels' for the night instead:

In footage that has gone viral online, the pilot can be heard saying: "...rather entertaining to defecate the front toilet so we're now staying the night here, we're now going to get everyone off... and organize hotels then we'll fly back tomorrow morning."

The passengers can be heard groaning as they got up out of their seats, having already been delayed for 'several hours' before the incident.

As per the Daily Mail, the passengers were expected to board the flight at 3.00pm the following day, however, easyJet has since admitted it was 'unable to find hotel rooms in the area' for all the passengers who were impacted.

In a statement on the airline’s website regarding the flight tracking information, easyJet said: “Due to extremely high demand, unfortunately we're unable to find hotel rooms in the area.

“If you need a hotel room and are able to make your own arrangements, we'll refund the cost of a reasonably priced room, meals and travel costs to and from your hotel.

“In this case we ask that you look for accommodation which is about three stars or equivalent.”

The cancellation of the flight came after a period of chaos according to one passenger onboard, as the plane was too small to accommodate all those on the flight, as per the Mail.

Passengers were reportedly offered $610 voucher to switch flights, but no one apparently decided to take it.

As a result, the passenger told the Mail that easyJet 'had to remove 10 people from the plane, which caused lots of arguing, and that literally took two hours.'

The passenger continued: "Once they got those 10 people off, the plane was heavy because we were at full capacity.

"So then, they were randomly putting our luggage on other flights to Gatwick [London’s airport], and that took hours again."

Those on the flight were understandably annoyed.

A spokesperson for easyJet said: "easyJet can confirm that flight EZY8054 from Tenerife to London Gatwick yesterday evening was delayed overnight due to the aircraft requiring additional cleaning.

"We did all possible to minimise the impact of the disruption for our customers, providing hotel accommodation and meals and the flight is due to depart this afternoon.

"The safety and wellbeing of our customers and crew is easyJet’s highest priority and while this was outside of our control, we would like to apologise to customers for the inconvenience caused."
