A woman filmed the terrifying moment a tornado formed while she was waiting at an airport to board her flight.
The shocking footage was filmed by Taylor Mobley at Chicago Midway International Airport on 13 July.
The in-video caption reads: "Things you don’t want to see when you’re boarding your flight."

A storm can be seen forming outside the window, as Taylor can be heard remarking: "Oh my God," while watching the shocking scenes unfold.
The clip was re-posted by WINK News meteorologist Nash Rhodes, who tweeted: “The view from Chicago Midway Airport as a tornado-warned storm pushed through moments ago. Over 1.7 million people in the Chicago area were included within this tornado warning.”
The footage understandably left TikTok users stunned and the video went viral on the app, accumulating over a million views and 44,000 likes in three days.

People also took to the comments to share their own weather fears when travelling.
One person said: “My biggest fear is not being home when a tornado hits and my pets are home alone.”
Lots of other commenters expressed the same fear and concern for their pets, with one adding: “Literally! There have been many days with severe weather that I have taken my pets to my grandparents.”
A third shared: “Same they are so helpless and I have two.”

Other travellers spoke about how they narrowly avoided being caught up in the ‘scary’ weather.
“We landed right when it touched down, so scary, got off the plane and they were announcing to take shelter,” one person commented.
“I WAS THERE,” someone else wrote.

Chicago was hit by torrential rain, winds and powerful storms on Wednesday (12 June), local news sites reported.
The National Weather Service confirmed at least seven tornadoes formed plus a waterspout.
The severe weather warnings as a result of the tornadoes and thunderstorms caused flight delays and cancellations at Midway and O’Hare airports, Fox Business reports. There were no reported injuries.
Meanwhile, a confirmed tornado was reported to be on the ground close to O’Hare Airport at around 7:00 pm local time, the National Weather Service in Chicago tweeted.

“A confirmed tornado is on the ground near O'Hare airport! This tornado has been touching the ground intermittently so far and is moving east. There are additional circulations along the line south of O'Hare. Seek shelter if in the warned area!” it said.
As a result of the bad weather, a tornado warning was put in effect for Chicago and the Cook County area which lasted until 7:35 pm local time, the National Weather Service in Chicago reported.
"Our forecast area is currently tornado warning free! We are still monitoring a few areas of weak rotation along a line over Central Cook, County so we are not ready to give the all clear just yet though chances are decreasing. #ILwx #INwx," it tweeted.
