One of the world's most expensive houses is incredibly unique Florida mansion on its own island

The Palm Beach property boasts 2.27 acres of land

If you've got a spare few hundred million dollars lying around (like everyone does), then this might just be the house for you.

This mega mansion is located in Palm Beach, Florida, and sits on its own manmade private island.

To get to the property, you need to drive over a bridge - where security is on the other end so not just anyone can rock up to the home.

The island itself was made in the 1930s, with the house being built on it afterwards.

The original home was bought by a developer in 2021, and it's since been completely revamped, almost tripling its value.

Now, the mansion has 11 bedrooms, 22 bathrooms, a 5-car garage, 98ft-long swimming pool, a yacht dock and a clay tennis court which all sits on the completely private island.

Meanwhile, if you're a foodie, its open plan kitchen boasts its own commercial grade walk-in freezer (as well as two others).

And how much would such a property cost you? A whopping £218,000,000.

The property is officially Florida's most expensive home, as well as being one of the most pricey properties in the world.

In light of its hefty price tag, people took to the comments section of the clip to share their thoughts - and it's had mixed reviews.

"This isn't a home. This is a hotel," one person wrote.

"The only way this could be justified is if you had every member of your blood and extended family live with you."

It has not one, but two swimming pools.

"If I had 218 million dollars to spend on a home, this would not be it," said another skeptic.

But others went as far as hailing the house as a 'work of art'.

"This house is absolutely beautiful. It's literally jaw dropping. You'll never leave the house. Lol. But, why would you? You have everything you need. This house is a work of art," someone wrote.

Another added: "Absolute masterpiece. I could imagine what the property would look like during the hours of sunset."

"One the best homes I've ever seen," gushed another.

YouTuber Erik Conover is known for touring beautiful properties such as this Palm Beach home, but recently switched it up to explore one of New York City's smallest apartments.

The Manhattan-based 'micro apartment' costs $89 a night and is around 5ft by 6ft - quite the contrast to the Florida mansion's 2.27 acres.

While the price was arguably a steal for the current going rates in Manhattan, the tiny home was compared to a 'jail cell'.

I think I know which home I'd rather be in...
