Florida Joker demands $2 million from Rockstar Games after they 'used his appearance' in GTA 6 trailer

"Y'all took my likeness. Y'all took my life."

The 'Florida Joker' is demanding Rockstar Games pay up for the similarities between his appearance and a character in GTA VI's trailer.

Rockstar Games released it's trailer for GTA VI one day early after it was leaked online.

While many gamers jumped for joy at the early insight into the highly anticipated release, quick to praise just how far the game has come, others weren't so happy - namely, Lawrence Sullivan, a.k.a the 'Florida Joker'. Prepare for Sullivan to raise the stakes:

Lawrence Sullivan took to TikTok earlier this week (5 December) comparing the similarities between himself and a character, sharing a video of an image of himself in an orange jumpsuit, side-by-side with an individual with purple hair and comparable face tattoos.

In another video uploaded to his social media, Sullivan claimed the character had been 'inspired by' him.

He added: "Just look me up, Florida Joker, Miami Joker, you know what I'm talking about. GTA, we got to talk."

However, Sullivan hasn't stopped there.

Sullivan has since demanded money from Rockstar Games.

Yesterday (8 December) Sullivan took to his page to address the similarities between his own appearance and the GTA VI character yet again, responding to the online discussion around it and stepping the stakes up a level.

"For everyone saying I'm hallucinating and I'm not the joker from GTA VI.[...] That's me. That's the person that they got inspiration from. You see that? That? That's me," he says, while pointing in-between the image of himself and an image of the character.

The TikToker emphasized that he wants 'to talk' with GTA, noting if a discussion isn't had, the company needs to give him 'like a mil or two'.

Sullivan resolves: "So what's up? Holler me GTA, Rockstar Entertainment, Rockstar Games, Rockstar Enterprise. [...] Y'all took my likeness. Y'all took my life."

But what's everyone else been saying?

Can you see the resemblance?

Well, people online are divided. One TikTok user said: "It’s definitely Miami joker they took his design and just altered it I think they should pay him Atleast 50k."

"How u not happy," another user questioned.

Sullivan responded: "Want the bag."

A third wrote: "They changed your hair and tatoos so they dont have to pay anything. plus you literally said its an inspiration."

"It's an honor to be in the game," a fourth added.

A final resolved: "You should get something from them, they took your image for their own convenience, you can either request them to remove your image from the game/else."

UNILAD has contacted Rockstar Games for comment.
