Ever got more than you bargained for?
Well, this was exactly the case for one family who found a live frog in an unopened bag of 'triple washed' spinach.
Amber Worrick, from Michigan, was simply packing away her groceries when her daughter alerted her of an unlikely guest nestled cozily in their packet of greens. Check it out:
Recalling the bizarre discovery, Amber told Fox 2 how she heard her daughter screaming after picking up the sealed box of Earthbound Farm Organic Spinach.

Upon further inspection, the sneaky little stowaway was spotted perched on top a spinach leaf - camouflaged to perfectly match the background of its new abode.
"My daughter was screaming, she was like 'Oh my God, it’s a frog'," the mom said. "And I was like, 'What?'"
According to Amber, the amphibian - later identified as Pacific tree frog native to California - was 'alive and moving'.
She went on: "Just thank God I didn't eat the frog!"
As if eating your greens couldn't get any harder.

Remembering the fateful Meijer shopping trip, Amber explained: "I didn’t see anything."
The box of spinach also 'didn’t feel heavy' and she 'didn’t feel anything wiggling'.
Amber then returned the froggy-filled spinach packet to the Meijer supermarket and was offered a full refund.
And for the frog?

Fox 2 reported that Meijer supermarket confirmed the little Kermit critter is 'alive and well' and was 'relocated outside a new home by its team members'.
"I didn't want him to die!" Amber said. "But I didn't want him in my food!"
Totally fair enough.
Earthbound Farms' parent company, Taylor Farms, has since sent the outlet a statement on the matter.

It reads: "Our organic farming practices help promote biodiversity and healthy ecosystems on and around our farms.
"We will continue to work tirelessly to provide the freshest, finest quality veggies for consumers."
Amber pointed out, however, that the brand does promise the produce in question was thoroughly washed several times.

"On the package, it says three times washed, or something like triple washed," she explained. "I don't believe that it was washed or else they would have caught a whole live frog."
That or maybe the little froggy just got a killer spa treatment.
Upon hearing the news, it seems the internet couldn't wait to share their reactions with one YouTube user writing: "Oh my Lord!"
A second revealed: "I would’ve kept the frog as a pet so I can tell everyone my frog story."
Each to their own, I guess.
