Elderly couple hit with restraining order after complaining about 'rowdy' Airbnb party house next door

Linda Bliss and Mark Honold have been hit with a restraining order after complaining about noise coming from neighbors.

An elderly US couple have been hit with a restraining order after making complaints about a 'loud' rental property next door.

Like any retirees, Linda Bliss and Mark Honold from Phoenix want to enjoy a peaceful and quiet life, but according to them, that has been quite tricky.

The pair claim the rental property next door is frequently used for late-night parties, something the couple say is making their life a misery.

According to local television station Arizona Family, Linda and Mark have made at least five calls to Phoenix Police over the alleged parties and have made several complaints to the property manager.

Despite that, the couple say that the problem has still not been addressed, subsequently being held 'hostage' inside their own home as the disruption occurs most weeks.

And things have escalated even further in recent times, as the couple say the property owner has served them with a restraining order due to all the complaints.

But the couple have grown tired of the regular occurrence of noise, parties and even random strangers looking over into their backyard.

"We’re held hostage inside our house. It’s just so loud, you can hear everything," Mark told Arizona Family.

The couple claim the restraining order came from an incident when they shouted at guests to quiet the noise down during a party.

"It was very demeaning because I’m licensed by the state of Arizona for insurance, working with children, the elderly, and they came and treated me like a criminal," Linda added.

The manager of the property in question has since come out and said all guests are screened before being permitted on the property, while loud parties are also banned.

Furthermore, the manager went on to say the elderly couple are the only neighbors to complain about guests staying at the property.

The couple feel they are being held 'hostage' in their own home.

The story comes after some previous neighbor drama where a couple verbally abused a widowed neighbor for 'noisy' home improvements saying she's 'alone for a reason'.

The video, which was posted by the woman's daughter Haeley Tran and has since been deleted, saw how the pair took issue with the woman as the home improvements were noisy.

In it, the two neighbours can be seen to approach her mom and to call her 'the most anal person I've ever met'.

Tran's mom tries to explain that she can only carry out the work on the weekends, but the couple respond angrily, with one saying: "Take your mask off so we can see you. You're hiding because you're f**king ashamed and embarrassed.

"The way you're acting is so immature for an old-a** woman, to act like that is embarrassing."
