Police share update on adult star Sophia Leone’s ‘suspicious’ death after she was found dead aged 26

Police have given an update about the 'suspicious' death of adult star Sophia Leone.

Police have weighed in on the speculations surrounding the death of porn star, Sophia Leone.

The 26-year-old adult film star was found ‘unresponsive’ in her apartment in New Mexico earlier this month.

A GoFundMe page that was set up by Sophia Leone's family said that police are looking into her death and have started an investigation.

The GoFundMe page does not give any details surrounding the investigation into Sophia's death, however, it mentions 'seeking justice' for the adult film star.

The page reads: “On behalf of her Mother & Family, It is with a heavy heart that I have to Share the news of our beloved Sophia’s Passing.

“The Sudden loss of Sophia has left her family and Friends devastated and in Shock, on top of The difficult process of grieving and Seeking Justice for Sophia the family is also facing the Financial burden that they were not prepared for.

“Sophia was found unresponsive in her apartment home on March 1st, 2024 by her family. A investigation by local Police into the cause of death is still currently on going.”

The page then calls on her supporters to donate any money they can and says it will go towards ‘the investigation, Funeral Expense’s, and any other costs that may arise as the family works through this heartbreak.'

The fund has now closed and raised a total of $14,183.

A modelling agency that had previously worked with Leone shared the news of her death on social media.

Responding to users asking for more details, the agency said her 'death is being investigated as a robbery and homicide'.

The police have since responded to these claims.

The Albuquerque Police Department (APD) confirmed they are treating the death as suspicious but did not go into further detail as to why that is.

However, they said the claims that her death is being investigated as a robbery and homicide is not correct.

An APD spoke to TMZ and said: “We do not know at this time if she is a victim of a crime so this is a unique situation."

They also said there were 'no signs of trauma' regarding Leone’s body but they would not be able to determine the cause of death until toxicology results were in.

UNILAD has contacted New Mexico State Police and Albuquerque police for comment.
