A university chancellor has lost his job after filming 'abhorrent' porn videos with his wife.
On Wednesday (December 27) The Universities of Wisconsin Board of Regents unanimously decided to fire Joe Gow from his position as Chancellor at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse.
A statement from UW president Jay Rothman said: "In recent days, we learned of specific conduct by Dr. Gow that has subjected the university to significant reputational harm. His actions were abhorrent."
Earlier this month, the 63-year-old and his wife, Carmen Wilson, launched a YouTube channel called 'Sexy Healthy Cooking,' in which they invite adult film stars to cook vegan meals with them.

The couple's account on X (formerly known as Twitter) directs followers to their OnlyFans site 'for fully explicit scenes.'
Various porn videos of Gow and Wilson, who go by the public account name 'Sexy Happy Couple,' also appear on Pornhub.
UW system regent president Karen Walsh said the now-former chancellor showed a 'reckless disregard for the role he was entrusted with.'
"We are alarmed, and disgusted, by his actions, which were wholly and undeniably inconsistent with his role as chancellor," she added.

Gow, who had served as chancellor for the university since 2007, is a tenured faculty member and will be placed on administrative leave as he transitions into another role.
However, a complaint has been filed asking for his tenure status to be reviewed and an independent law firm has been hired 'to undertake a fulsome investigation of the matter,' said Rothman.
Speaking to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel following his dismissal, Gow claimed that he'd never made any connections to the university or his position at it during the videos.

"There’s nothing said about the University of Wisconsin; there’s nothing said about the chancellor," he said.
"So someone else would have to make those associations. And then someone would have to say those are problematic."
He also pointed out that no school funds were used to create the videos, which he claims fall within his right to free speech under the First Amendment.
But, funnily enough, this isn't the first porn scandal Gow has been involved in.

In 2018, he was pounded by La Crosse officials after paying porn star Nina Hartley $5,000 in discretionary university funds to speak to students about pornography.
In a 90-minute talk, the actress assured students that 'it's OK to like porn' and spoke about her decades-long career in the industry.
School president Ray Cross reprimanded Gow for the stunt in a letter that slammed him for his 'bad judgement' and 'lack of responsible oversight.'
Gow was forced to apologize and promised to reimburse the $5,000 fee from his own money.
