People Who Shout ‘Allahu Akbar’ In Venice Will Be Shot By Snipers
The Mayor of Venice has announced the city’s police force will tackle suspected terrorist attackers with increasing aggression.
Luigi Brugnaro has said that there will be snipers stationed in the Piazza San Marco, who will be ready to gun down any potential threats.
Anyone who shouts Allahu Akbar in the Piazza San Marco can expect to be gunned down by snipers within four paces.
This comes after a series of terror attacks in Europe, including a foiled attempt at a concert in Rotterdam last night.
According to The Sun, he said that the snipers are ready to ‘send them straight to Allah’.
Brugnaro announced the tactic after an attempted terror attack at the Rialto Bridge over the summer.
We need to increase our security when it comes to terrorism. We had four would be terrorists arrested in Venice a few months ago who wanted to blow up the Rialto bridge.
They said they wanted to go and meet Allah so we will send them straight to Allah without having to throw them off the bridge, we will just shoot them.
Venice is one of the biggest tourist destinations in the world, and is a hub of Italian and European culture.
Despite the impassioned rants of the Venetian Mayor, no one from the Venice police department was available for comment.
A spokesman said they ‘never discuss operational security’.
