Dishonored 2 is a game all about freedom for the player, whether you want to take your time and kill everything you see, or sneak by unnoticed, avoiding a bloodbath.
Speedrunner Voetiem decided to approach the game in his own way though. As speedrunners so often do, he decided to get through the game as quickly as possible, and managed it in an eye-watering 32 minutes.
PC Gamer reports that Voetiem’s run technically lasts for around 38 minutes – but without load times, it brings the grand total down to just over 32 minutes.
Speedrun.com also notes that this is now the world record for Dishonored 2, with the next fastest time being a crisp 35 minutes and 59 seconds.
Of course, the game has only just come out, so the odds of some other young speedster coming in and smashing that time are pretty good – check out the full run in the video below.
It’s interesting to note that none of the top speedruns use Dishonored 2’s other character (Emily), implying that our boy Corvo is the speedier of the two playable characters.
Still, with its fairly massive open levels and vast selection of strange powers to exploit, I wouldn’t be shocked if this game occupied speedrunners for years to come.
