Shocking video shows what happens if you try to enter Area 51

The answer is not 'get allowed in for a tour and a look at the aliens'

There are plenty of things you can do in this world which will get you in trouble and attempting to get inside Area 51 without permission is definitely one of those.

If you'll cast your mind back to those heady, innocent days of 2019, then you might remember the time over two million people said they were going to storm Area 51 and reveal the aliens apparently hidden there to the world.

It didn't quite go to plan, though thankfully not in the 'two million people Naruto running at Area 51 get gunned down' sort of way.

No, instead it was just about 150 people managing to actually show up to the event, which really undermined their whole 'they can't stop all of us' plan to get through the location's defenses.

The only person to actually muster up the courage to storm the gate was a 60-year-old woman who ended up facing a charge of trespassing and a $1,000 fine.

On that particular day, the people guarding Area 51 were ready for someone to show up, but they're pretty vigilant whatever the time of year as some people have found out to their misfortune.

A father and son duo on motorbikes filmed their encounter with the authorities when they got close to Area 51 and were apprehended by soldiers.

The bikers were ordered to put their hands up as the soldiers drew their guns and ordered the men to spread their feet while they were patted down.

Ultimately, the father and son got off pretty lightly as they were told to 'get on your bikes' and 'get the f**k out of here' by people pointing guns in their general direction.

They were then threatened with being written up for $750 tickets if they didn't scram immediately and wisely chose to take the advice being offered to them.

As a general rule, if you're somewhere you shouldn't be and a person with a gun tells you to leave, then you leave.

It would probably be safer for everyone if you stayed away from Area 51.

Area 51 has long been suspected as a top secret site hosting aliens and UFOs that have crash landed onto Earth over the years.

While you might have kept the aliens in a place as out of the way as Area 51 once upon a time, you'd surely have moved them to a more secret facility ahead of officially acknowledging the place exists.

The base was so keen to remain a secret and not be associated with extra-terrestrials that when the 1996 movie Independence Day was being made, they asked not to be mentioned by the film.

Back then, the US government wasn't officially acknowledging the existence of Area 51 and wouldn't do so for another couple of years.
