World Champion Powerlifter Killed By ‘MMA Fighter’ After Ridiculous Argument In Street

A world champion powerlifter from Russia was killed by an MMA fighter after a ‘ridiculous’ argument broke out in the street.

The brawl was captured on CCTV and showed the moment the powerlifter received fatal injuries.

Powerlifter, Andrey Drachyov, died in hospital after sustaining ‘serious head injuries’ during the fight in the city of Khabarovsk, in south-west Russia, according to rt.com.

The fight reportedly started when the pair argued over which of their sports was more physically demanding.

In the footage, Drachyov can be seen getting up after being floored, but he promptly receives another kick to the head and falls back down heavily on the ground.

He is then hit in the head several times before security guards from a café nearby interfere.

A police spokesman said:

The brawl between the two visitors of the cafe located in the centre of Khabarovsk took place at around 7am on August 20.

The victim died in hospital due to the injuries he suffered. According to preliminary data, the cause of death was a craniocerebral injury.

According to rt.com, the alleged killer has been identified as Anar Allakhveranov, he fled the scene and has now been placed on a wanted list.
