You Can Zip Line From The Eiffel Tower If You’ve Got The Balls
Something pretty special has been set up in one of the world’s most popular landmarks for you adrenaline junkies out there.
Thrill seekers can now zip down from the second floor of the Eiffel Tower at speeds of up to 56 miles per hour.
Why, I hear you ask? Well, the zip wire has been installed as part of the promotions for the French Open tennis tournament by the water brand Perrier who’ve called it Le Perrier Smash.
The wire is half a mile long and takes just about a minute, finishing on a platform in the Champs de Mars park at the base of the tower.
For those who don’t fancy the jump, there’s also a virtual reality version you can try – and if you’re REALLY not up for it, there are plenty of fun, live match screening, games and drinks (on ground level) in the pop-up Perrier village next to the Eiffel Tower.
To get a chance to ride on the zipwire, you have to be pretty quick off the mark as it is only there until 11th June, and there are only 100 rides available each day.
